I’ll show you how to wear booties in a variety of ways in this outfit guide!
Classic black or brown riding boots may be all you need, depending on your personal style and preferences. When it comes to boots, I’m a fan of embellished ankle boots, black and brown heeled ankle boots, and a pair of over-the-knee black suede boots.
Let’s get started now!
BOOTS + JEANS
Yellow Fashion Casual Split Joint Strap Design Keep Warm Boots
Blue Fashion Casual Solid Basic Mid Waist Skinny Jeans
Reasons to recommend:
I’ve had a brown ankle boot in one of my most popular fall looks on my site. Oversized turtleneck, brown jacket, belt, and distressed jeans are all acceptable attire. This is a great look for a casual date or a night out with friends because it’s comfortable and easy to throw on. To provide the appearance of longer and leaner legs, the brown booties are cut such that they terminate near the thinnest area of my leg. In order to avoid seeming shorter, keep the tops of your booties no more than a couple of inches over your ankle.
BOOTS + KNITTED DRESS
Long Sleeve Knit Casual Sweater Dress
Eyelet Lace-up Pocket Design Combat Boots
Reasons to recommend:
If you’re feeling more bold in fall, consider wearing a knitted dress with your favorite black ankle boots and nothing else. Ankle boots and a long sleeve dress were made for each other. My favorite part of these black ankle boots are the tie-embellished heels and thick stacked heels. The ankle boots are given personality thanks to the additional details.
OVER THE KNEE BOOTS + LEGGINGS
Zipper Knee-High Thin Heel Boots
High Waist Eyelet Lace-up Knit Leggings
Reasons to recommend:
Boots with knee-high or longer lengths are ideal. You can wear a very casual black knee boot with white leggings in this knee boots ensemble. This footwear ensemble is perfect for a laid-back lunch with friends in the afternoon or for a fun fall weekend getaway. I’m a big fan of this outfit’s color combination and how it balances off the more substantial components.
Boot ensembles like these are arguably the most commonly seen on a daily basis. My favorite type of footwear is the ankle boot because it can be paired with a wide variety of clothes! How about you?
